After all, a healthy body will keep you productive and happy for the rest of the year. And with Bali being recognised as a place to heal for many we have provided some wellness activities for you to consider trying in this New Year!
For those of you who are not familiar, yoga is not only stretching – it is a way of life. This all encompassing exercise is for the body, mind and soul and those who practice it feel connected to their inner self and usually say they feel a sense of healing after years of practicing it. In fact, yoga has been known to help one lose weight, lower stress, and lower risk of injury, increase flexibility and strength. And as we practice this exercise daily with our guests at Kajane, you are more than welcome to join us for absolutely free.
2. Coffee Spa Massage
The “Coffee Break” has a totally new meaning nowadays as coffee is used as a base ingredient for body scrubs, lotions and oils. Bali is not only famous for its Kopi Luwak but also for Coffee Massages. So start your New Year with the healing properties of the coffee plant as it protects you from sun exposure, reducing the water retention, makes the skin tighter and removes dead skin cells. With so many benefits to the body, it’s only natural that many have searched for this traditional massage to complete their holiday. So if you’re interested in having one too, feel free to visit our spa and speak to our therapist!
3. Nature Trekking
For those who prefer something more active, trekking through Bali’s amazing Rice fields especially in Ubud can clear your mind and strengthen your body. Gorgeous spots like Tegalalang or even the Campuhan Ridge is truly a lovely stroll for any age. And if you are up for something more adventurous, start your trek in the middle of the night to reach one of Bali’s volcanos such as Mount Agung or Batur just in time for a stunning sunrise. If you’re keen to learn more simply speak to our team and we can definitely assist you in these day trips.
4. Healthy Cuisine
They say what you eat defines you so if you want to do something good for your body, take care of your nutrition. Practicing Yoga for example is not enough to stay healthy. Consuming fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and organic produce is also what your body needs. But don’t worry, you don’t have to become vegetarian to stay healthy. There are way more options in cuisine than you might believe in Bali. Some local dishes you could have include Sayur Urab, Gado-Gado, or even Sate lilit. Aside from the healthy meals we serve at our Homemade Restaurant in Kajane Mua and Yangloni, you could also discover new restaurants around Bali which serve organic and local food.
